Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 fix release. SYMPTOMSYou apply Cumulative Update 1 for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 on a server that is running SQL Server 2008. When you view the License Terms screen in SQL Server Setup, the screen incorrectly states To install Service Pack. RESOLUTIONThe fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 2.
