Article ID: 959879 - Last Review: December 12, 2008 - Revision: 1.0 FIX: The device may crash during the startup process when you use Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder to load an image by connecting through a hardware probeOn This PageSYMPTOMSYou use Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder to load an image by connecting through a hardware probe. After the download is complete, the image starts. During the startup process, the device may crash when the Notify.dll file is loaded. Additionally, you may receive relative messages about the Udevice.exe file in the output window. CAUSEWhen Platform Builder reads the resource section of the loaded module by using a hardware probe, Platform Builder converts the virtual address to a physical address by translating the page table. However, the page that contains the resource section has not been paged yet. Therefore, the translation for the physical address is incorrect.
