SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Exchange with Service Pack 1 starts its Antigen Statistics Server service, an event is logged in the Application log:
The description for Event ID (0) in Source (Antigen Statistic Server) cannot be found. The local computer may not have necessary registry information or message DLL files to display message from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE=flag to retrieve this description; see help and support for details. The following information is part of the event: Service Started
This is strictly a cosmetic issue in logging that does not affect functionality. However, from an administrative standpoint, it may raise concerns.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 5 for Antigen 9.0 with Service Pack 1.
