Areas of the Xbox 360 Dashboard do not match the console languages settings of your Xbox 360 console

SYMPTOMS

When you view the Xbox 360 Dashboard while you are connected to Xbox LIVE, the language of the text is different in some areas of the dashboard than in other areas. For example, the language that appears in the Spotlight or Events area is different than the language in the My Xbox area.

CAUSE

  • Because the Xbox 360 Dashboard is a connected experience with your Xbox LIVE account, the content of many areas of the Xbox 360 Dashboard is presented through the Xbox LIVE service.
  • Because the Xbox LIVE service is programmed for each Xbox LIVE region, each region is presented in the languages of that region or country.
  • If the language that is selected in your Xbox 360 Console Settings differs from the language of your Xbox LIVE account, Xbox LIVE-enabled areas of the dashboard will be presented in the default or chosen language of your Xbox LIVE account.
