Description of and how to change your Xbox LIVE account language setting

The Xbox LIVE account language setting supports the following features of the Xbox LIVE service and Xbox 360 Dashboard:

• Marketplace content and content descriptions *
• Xbox LIVE subscription descriptions
• Messages sent via Xbox LIVE from the Xbox team, such as service notifications or promotions

Some Xbox LIVE regions support multiple languages. If supported, you can change the language setting of your Xbox LIVE account. Please see below in the More Information section for instructions on how to edit your Xbox LIVE account language setting.

To change your Xbox LIVE account language setting to an alternate language your region supports, perform the following steps:

1. Please visit https://live.xbox.com/accounts/ContactInformation.aspx (https://live.xbox.com/accounts/ContactInformation.aspx)
2. If you are not currently signed into the Windows Live ID for your account, sign in using your Windows Live ID and password
3. Use the Language drop-down to select an alternate language supported for your Xbox LIVE region
4. Click Save

The language change on your account is now complete. It is important to note that it may take up to 24 hours for this change to be visible on your Xbox 360 console.

The following Xbox LIVE features are not supported by the Xbox LIVE language setting and are based on the console language setting and the available languages supported by Xbox LIVE in the region you account is based.

• Xbox 360 Dashboard channel names
• Promotional content in various Xbox LIVE channels
