SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, you send an e-mail by using Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) Premium.
  • The Exchange Organization name has multiple words in the name.

  • You use the Ambiguous Name Resolution (ANR) cache to pick up the recipient.
In this scenario, you may receive the following Non Delivery Report (NDR):
Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:
/o=<Organization name>/ou=<Administrative group name>/cn=Recipients/cn=<user name>
The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the recipient's e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please check the e-mail address and try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.
