The MSExchangeIMAP4 service may crash intermittently after you apply an update rollup for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1

After you apply one of the following update rollups for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, the MSExchangeIMAP4 service may crash intermittently:

• Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1
• Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1
• Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1

Additionally, the following event may be logged in the Application log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchange Common
Event Category: General
Event ID: 4999
Description:
