SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that are not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a PowerPoint 2007 presentation that links to many Microsoft Office Excel charts, and the presentation is set to manually update the links. However, when you open the presentation, you experience performance issues.
    • You apply hotfix 958720.
    • You open the presentation without clicking Update Links in PowerPoint 2007. Then, you enable the macros for the presentation.
In this scenario, when you try to run the Presentations(x).UpdateLinks function to update the links in the presentation, PowerPoint 2007 may crash.
  • When you close a PowerPoint 2007 presentation, PowerPoint 2007 may crash.
  • In a PowerPoint 2007 presentation, when you try to use an ActivePresentation.Fonts object programmatically to read the font name of the object, a null value may be returned unexpectedly for the font name.
  • You try to print a PowerPoint 2007 presentation by using a color printer. In this case, the default value in the Color/grayscale box in the Print dialog box is Color. However, when you set the printer to print the presentation in grayscale in the Properties dialog box of the color printer, the value in the Color/grayscale box is still Color.
