On This PageSYMPTOMSYou have a Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device that has an ARM1136 processor that includes a Vector Floating-Point (VFP) coprocessor. On the device, you compile a project that generates a floating-point exception by using the /QRfpe command option. When you run the application, you may receive an exception message that resembles the following: CAUSEThis problem occurs because the VFP coprocessor is initiated into a mode that requires the operating system's support to handle floating-point exceptions. By default, this kind of support is not included in Windows Embedded CE 6.0. RESOLUTIONSoftware update informationA supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 6.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (December 2008). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type.
