Known issue with this security update

When you try to uninstall this security update, you may be prompted to provide the path of a missing .msi file for the Microsoft Office File Converter Pack. This problem may occur if the files for the Office File Converter Pack were not cached during the installation.

To resolve this problem, you must extract the Office File Converter Pack on the computer. Then, you must provide the path of the extracted .msi file when you uninstall this security update. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Download the Office File Converter Pack. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

2. At a command prompt, extract the Office File Converter Pack. To do this, follow these steps:
   1. Open a Command Prompt window. To do this, do one of the following:
      • On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start

        , type cmd in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
      • On a Windows XP-based computer, click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK.
   2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
      path of downloaded file:\Oconvpck.exe /c /t:C:\Ocp
      Note In this command, path of downloaded file is a placeholder for the path of the Office File Converter Pack that you downloaded in step 1.
      
      Additionally, this command copies the missing Office File Converter Pack files in the C:\Ocp folder. To specify a different location for the extracted Office File Converter Pack files, change the path after the t: option.
   3. After the Office File Converter Pack is extracted successfully, type exit at the command prompt, and then press ENTER. The Command Prompt window closes.
3. Uninstall this security update by using the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel.
4. When you are prompted for the path of the .msi file, provide the path of the Ocp11.msi file that you specified in step 2.

Removal information

To uninstall this security update, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel.
