FIX: The folder hierarchy for a subdirectory is displayed incorrectly when you open the virtual directory in Visual Studio 2005 or in Visual Studio 2008
You have a virtual directory defined in Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0. The virtual directory contains a subdirectory.
You make some changes directly to the subdirectory. For example, you change the authentication method for the subdirectory.
You open the virtual directory in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 by using the Local IIS mode.
In this scenario, the folder hierarchy for the subdirectory is displayed incorrectly in the Open Web Site window and in Solution Explorer. Instead of showing the files and folders for the subdirectory,
there is a full folder hierarchy of the whole virtual directory.
This problem occurs because of an issue in the IIS Admin Base Objects (ABO) Mapper. When you change the subdirectory, settings are saved under a particular <location> path that is defined in the ApplicationHost.config file. The ABO Mapper cannot detect the subdirectory correctly with the <location> path.
