SYMPTOMS

You connect to a Windows Server 2003-based terminal server. When you print a document to a redirected printer, the document is printed to a redirected printer of a different client.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • When you log on to the terminal server, your printer is redirected to the terminal server.
  • Before you log off the terminal server, you turn off the Print Spooler service.
  • You log off the terminal server. Then, you log on to the terminal server again, starting a new session. In the new session, the Print Spooler service is turned on.
  • A different client logs on to the terminal server session that was created when you logged on to the terminal server the first time. And, the client printer is redirected to the terminal server.
When you print a document, the document is printed to the redirected printer of the client.
