SYMPTOMS

A Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Hub server may incorrectly set the Sent time on an e-mail message.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when you change the time zone setting on the Exchange 2007 Hub server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, restart the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.

WORKAROUND

To prevent this behavior, stop the Microsoft Exchange Transport service, change the time zone on the Exchange 2007 Hub server, and then start the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.

MORE INFORMATION

Exchange 2007 uses the Microsoft .NET Framework DateTime.Now property to determine the current system time. Additionally, Exchange 2007 uses the .NET Framework TimeZone.CurrentTimeZone class to determine the current time zone. These variables are not updated when you change the time zone in Windows.
