Consider the following scenario. You are working in a Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) environment. Then, you use the SetActionAccount.exe utility on MOM agents to update the action account password or to change to a new action account. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Unable to set credentials. Verify the Management Group name is correct.
This problem occurs because the SetActionAccount.exe utility does not work correctly on MOM 2005 SP1 agents.
Hotfix InformationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
