FIX: When you insert a string to a table by using the SQL Native Client (SNAC) OLE DB provider or the SNAC ODBC provider in a SQL Server 2005-based application, the string is truncated

Consider the following scenario. An application uses the SQL Native Client (SNAC) OLE DB provider to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2005. In the application, you run an INSERT statement to insert a string that contains more than 4,000 characters into a table. The INSERT statement contains newline characters or comments. When you run the application, you find that the string is not inserted to the table successfully. The string is truncated to 4,000 characters. If you use the SNAC ODBC provider to connect to the instance in the application, the string is truncated to one character.

Note This issue does not occur if you use the SQL Server OLE DB provider that is included in Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) or in Windows Data Access Components (Windows DAC).
