SYMPTOMS

When you use the Remote Desktop Client to access a computer that is running Microsoft Office Communicator 2007, you may find that your presence status is unexpectedly set to Away, and you cannot change the status either automatically or manually.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the hotfix package that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
