If you no longer have some content that you had previously purchased and saved to your Xbox 360 storage device and you want to retrieve that content, you can easily download the content through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Note Downloading the content again does not transfer content licenses to a new Xbox 360 console but does update the locally stored license if it is out of date.

You cannot access or use previously downloaded content on Xbox 360
To download previously purchased or previously downloaded content, use one of the following methods.
Download from the Xbox 360 console.
- Attach the hard drive or the memory unit to your Xbox 360 console.
- Turn on your Xbox 360 console.
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE by using the gamer profile that originally downloaded the content.

- Press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then go to the Settings area. Select Account Management, and then select Download History.

- Select the content item, and then select Download Again to download the item.
- Repeat step 5 for each item in your download history that you want to recover.
Download from Xbox.com
- Visit the following Xbox LIVE Web Marketplace Web site to access the My Account area:
- Select each item that you want to download, and then click Add to Queue. The selected items will automatically appear in the console’s Active Downloads area of the console on which you are currently signed in to Xbox LIVE.
