SYMPTOMS
The user receives the message 'The system is currently locked for maintenance. Contact the Microsoft Forecaster Administrator for further information.' and is unable to log into Forecaster. CAUSE
This message is created because the Forecaster budget administrator is in the process of creating new periods or saving changes to existing periods. As this function affects the structure of many Forecaster database tables, it is important that no other users are in Forecaster at that time. This message appears to non-administrative users attempting to log into Forecaster while the period updates are occurring. RESOLUTION
