Article ID: 963106 - Last Review: October 7, 2011 - Revision: 2.0 When you try to view a very large JPEG image on a Windows Vista-based DLNA server from a DLNA client, the JPEG image is corrupted
On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. On a Windows Vista-based computer, you share media by using the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Additionally, you configure the computer as a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) server. Then, you try to view a JPEG image on the DLNA server from a DLNA client, such as from DLNA-aware TV. However, if the JPEG image's height or width is larger than 4096 pixels, the image is corrupted. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Windows codecs do not correctly handle color information for very large images. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
