SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Input Method Editor (IME) 2007 issues that are fixed in the Input Method Editor (Japanese) 2007 hotfix package that is dated February 24, 2009.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • On a client computer that has the 2007 Microsoft Office system preinstalled, Windows Explorer does not respond at the first desktop screen after the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) Wizard completes. When this problem occurs, you receive a "Windows Explorer is not responding" message. Then, if you select Restart the program and check for a solution later in this dialog box, you can run Windows Explorer automatically.
  • On a Windows Vista-based computer, you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system and the Japanese version of the Input Method Editor (IME) 2007. When you try to start Windows Vista, the Imjpcmnt.exe process unexpectedly uses 100 percent of CPU resources for about 20 to 80 seconds unexpectedly.
  • On a client computer that is running the Japanese version of Windows XP, you set IME 2007 (Japanese) mode as disable for a text box. Then, when you try to type some Japanese in the text box, a half-Kana character is displayed unexpectedly.
