SYMPTOMS

"Spec set database security does not match current FRxSys32 security settings."This error occurs when setting a company as default.

CAUSE

Possible causes for this error include: Changes in the security settings inside the FRxSys32.mdb file. Incorrect regional settings.

RESOLUTION

Changes in the security settings inside the FRxSys32.mdb file Ask all other users to close FRx Designer and FRx Report Launcher. In FRx Designer, on the Admin menu, click Organization.Click the FRx Security button. If the Use FRx Security check box is selected, clear it. If the Use FRx Security check box is not selected, select it. Click OK.Click OK to close the Organization Information window. Repeat steps 2-5. The Use FRx Security check box should now be back to what it was prior to this process (that is, you have toggled the security on/off or off/on). Close FRx, launch it again, and then select the problematic company as default - the error should no longer occur.
Incorrect regional settings Change the Windows Regional Settings on the problematic workstation. Regional settings should match the settings being used on functional workstations.
