By default, this update is recommended. However, SharePoint users who upgraded from SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (Windows) to any other edition of SQL Server 2000 may incorrectly be offered a SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (Windows) update for the security release in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 960082.
