SYMPTOMS

On a client that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, you successfully install the Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) client components. However, when you try to connect to the IAG Web site by using Windows Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer displays only a blank page and does not provide the logon page. Additionally, the status bar in Internet Explorer contains a message that states that the client components are not installed.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a change in IAG 2007 Service Pack 2 that enables non-Internet Explorer browsers and non-Windows-based clients to connect to IAG. However, after you install IAG 2007 Service Pack 2, an issue occurs when the legacy client components for Windows 2000 check the capability of the endpoint. The issue unexpectedly blocks Windows 2000 from successfully connecting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install Update 1 for IAG 2007 Service Pack 2. For more information about Update 1 for IAG 2007 Service Pack 2, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
