SYMPTOMS

Exchange ActiveSync enables licensees to support a subset of contact properties. This feature enables the client to send a supported list of properties on the first synchronization. This list is used by the server to determine which properties are deleted.

However, this feature is broken on Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1). The Exchange server returns a status code "4" as a protocol error.

CAUSE

A necessary class tag is removed from Exchange Server 2007 SP1.
