Forefront Security for SharePoint blocks clean 2007 Office files when an engine error occursArticle ID: 968155 - View products that this article applies to. SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Forefront Security for SharePoint may incorrectly detect clean Microsoft 2007 Office files. These files are then blocked and cannot be accessed. Additionally, "Engine Error" events are logged in the Forefront Security for SharePoint reports and log files. CAUSEThis problem occurs because an engine error occurs during the scanning. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint Service Pack 3 (SP3). After you install the service pack, you can choose to perform an action on these files when scan engine errors occur.
