SYMPTOMS

You configure Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 to log events to a Syslog server. However, events that are in the Application category are not logged as expected. For example, event 5, event 6, event 75 and event 76 are not logged, even though they are defined in the MessageDefinition.xml file.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because MESSAGE_TYPE_APPLICATION is not defined.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply Intelligent Application Gateway 2007 Service Pack 2 Update 1. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
