You cannot transfer a call when you use Office Communicator version 2.0.6362.97 or later

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Office Communicator version 2.0.6362.97 or later, you cannot transfer a call. For example, this issue occurs in the following scenario:
  • User A is running Communicator version 2.0.6362.97 or later.
  • User A initiates a call to a User B, and then User B transfers the call to User C.
In this scenario, the call between User A and User C is not set up as expected.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the user's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) contains an upper case character.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the update for Communicator 2007 that is dated March 2009. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
