SYMPTOMS

When a Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 user clicks an OCS 2007 R2 audio conference join link (For example, the user clicks the Join using web browser link in an audio conference invitation), the user receives an error message. This error message says that he is not provisioned in OCS 2007 R2, that the user should contact his administrator, and that the user cannot join the meeting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, apply the following update:
967836 Description of the update package for Communications Server 2007 R2, Communicator Web Access: April 2009
After you install this update, the error message informs the user that he or she can click the Join as different user link and join as an unauthenticated user. This lets the user join the meeting if the conference allows for unauthenticated attendees.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
