When you try to import configuration settings into Communications Server 2007 R2, the Application Sharing multipoint control unit does not register the new media relay for the pool

When you try to import configuration settings to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, the Application Sharing multipoint control unit (MCU) does not register the new media relay for the pool. Any external or federated users that try to join conferencing sessions that are hosted on this MCU cannot do so.

To resolve this issue, apply the following update:
If the MCU is restarted, it will register the correct media relay. The update allows the MCU to register the correct media relay without restarting.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
