The Communications Server 2007 R2 - A/V Edge Authentication Server does not recognize a token request if the locale for RTCProxyService is not en-US/409
Article ID: 968938 - View products that this article applies to.
The Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 R2 - A/V Edge Authentication Server does not recognize a token request if the locale for RTCProxyService is not en-US/409. Therefore, OCS clients cannot contact the A/V Edge Server, and some connectivity scenarios are broken.
The A/V Edge Authentication Server was not using the correct language invariant form of some string manipulation functions. This caused a problem when a locale used something other than a period character (.) as a decimal separator.
To work around this problem, change the locale setting to English for the local account that the A/V Edge Server and the A/V Edge Authentication Server use.
To resolve this problem, apply the following update:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
