A computer that is running Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Audio/Video Conferencing Edge Server crashes when it tries to process a Relay NAT message

SYMPTOMS

You have a computer that is running Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and has the Audio/Video Conferencing Edge Server role installed. However, the computer crashes when it tries to process a Traversal Using Relay network address translation (NAT) message that has an attribute type of 0x000C.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the attribute type 0x000C is invalid in a Traversal Using Relay NAT message.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, apply update 969821. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Note After you apply this update, the media relay server can correctly process the invalid attributes in the Traversal Using Relay NAT message.
