SYMPTOMSIn
an Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) environment, you use the Move-ClusteredMailboxServer
command to transfer a clustered mailbox server
(CMS) to an available passive cluster node. However, some databases are not
mounted on the target server after the transfer. The following warning is
returned in Exchange Management Shell when this problem occurs: WARNING: Database "<database name>" was not mounted (brought online) because there was data loss during the Move-ClusteredMailboxServer operation. Data loss is assumed if Exx.log cannot be copied. Log Name: Application Source: MSExchangeRepl Event ID: 101 Task Category: Move Level: Error Keywords: Classic Description: Resource "<database name>" for storage group "<Storage Group name>" on clustered mailbox server <server name> was not brought online because of data loss. The known log information is: LatestInspectorTime=<Date Time>, LatestCopyNotificationTime=<Date Time>, InspectorGenerationNumber=<numvber>, LatestLogGenerationNumber=<number>.
