This update includes the following updates for the release version of Windows Small Business Server 2008.
Issue 1 You cannot connect a client computer that is running Windows 7 to a Windows Small Business Server 2008-based domain. Additionally, you receive the following error message: Verify Computer requirements - Unsuccessful
This computer does not meet the requirements necessary to connect to the network. Before you can continue, you must resolve the following issues: Operating System Requirements This computer does not meet the maximum operating system requirements for running client setup. Issue 2 When you install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition on a primary server that is running Windows Small Business Server 2008, you receive the following error message: Failed to install <ProductName>. No mapping between account names and security IDs was done. Issue 3 When you try to use the Add a Trusted Certificate Wizard to add a certificate that you previously imported, the certificate may not appear in the list of selections. Issue 4 You delete a certificate that is being used in the Certificates Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in window. When you run the Add a Trusted Certificate Wizard, the Wizard may stop responding. Issue 5 You delete a certificate that is being used in the Certificates Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in window. When you run the Internet Address Management Wizard, the Wizard may stop responding. Issue 6 You cannot directly edit documents from the Web site at http://companyweb after you install Windows Small Business Server 2008 Update Rollup 2 that disables this Client Integration feature. Issue 7 The Windows Small Business Server (Windows SBS) Console stops responding when you try to open a shared folder by using the "Browse this folder" option. Removal informationAfter you install this update, the authentication mode that is set for the Web site at http://companyweb changes from the NTLM authentication to the Kerberos authentication. The reason this change occurs is because we recommend that you use the Kerberos authentication instead of the NTLM authentication.If after you install this update, you want to remove this update, you can remove the update by using the Programs and Features item in Control Panel. However, the authentication mode of the Web site at http://companyweb must be manually changed back when you remove this update. Known issues in this updateIssue 1When you remove this update, you may be prompted to insert the Windows Small Business Server 2008 installation DVD.
