On This PageSYMPTOMSThe size of the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Data Warehouse database may grow if many event
collection rules exist within management packs. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the System Center Operations
Manager 2007 SP1 Data Warehouse raw event tables are not groomed as expected
when the data retention setting is reached for the Event dataset. Therefore,
Event partitions (SQL tables that have names that resemble
Event.Event_<guid>) remain indefinitely in the
System Center Operations Manager 2007 SP1 Data Warehouse
database. RESOLUTIONUpdate InformationThis fix is contained within the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 update. To see a list of issues are fixed and how to obtain the cumulative rollup, refer to this article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:971541
