Internet Explorer 8 is not compatible with your version of the "Drive Letter Access" Internet Explorer add-on.

You see the following message in Windows Internet Explorer 9:

This add-on can cause Internet Explorer to stop responding or crash
Internet Explorer 9 is not compatible with your version of the "Drive Letter Access" Internet Explorer add-on.

Method 1: Disable the Drive Letter Access add-on in Internet Explorer

To fix this problem manually, disable the "Drive Letter Access" add-on for Internet Explorer by following these steps:
  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
  2. Open Internet Explorer. You will see a window that states that the "Drive Letter Access" add-on can cause Internet Explorer to crash or to stop responding.
  3. Click Always open Internet Explorer without this add-on, and then click OK.

Note This fix does not affect the functionality of the Drive Letter Access program itself. You can still use Drive Letter Access to burn CDs and DVDs after you disable the "Drive Letter Access" Internet Explorer add-on.

Method 2: Install the latest version of the Drive Letter Access

To download the latest version of the Drive Letter Access, click the following button to visit the Roxio website (website available only in English):

Note Drive Letter Access is now named Roxio Burn. Downloading and installing Roxio Burn will resolve the incompatibility problem between the program and Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9.
