Microsoft Knowledge Base article 952288, the Site Collection Usage Summary page
does not load correctly.
On the Site Collection Usage Summary page, the number of users that is listed in the Number of Users entry is much lower than the actual number of users who have been added to the site collection. Note This issue occurs one day after you restart Internet Information Services (IIS) by using the IISReset command prompt utility. CAUSEThe issue occurs because access statistics are collected
based on the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time zone. Therefore, non-GMT time zone data is split between two
days. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix package:
968857
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968857/
)
Description of the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 hotfix package (Sts.msp): April 28, 2009
LimitationYou cannot import current usage data after you install the hotfix package. Therefore, you must import current usage data before you install the hotfix package. Also, the usage data from the start date (day x) can usually can be imported only one day later (day x+1). To work around this limitation, rename the log folder according to the new naming rules.STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
