The thesaurus is not applied when you perform a search after you type text in the "All of these words" text box or in the "The exact phrase" text box in SharePoint Server 2007

In the Advanced Search page of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you enter text in the All of these words text box or in the The exact phrase text box. When you perform the search, thesaurus is not applied in the search.

To resolve this issue, apply both of the following updates:

• 968859  (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968859/ ) Description of the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 hotfix package (Coreserver.msp): April 30, 2009

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click to select the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office Server\12.0\Search
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type UseAllKeyword, and then press ENTER.
5. Double-click UseAllKeyword.
6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
