Article ID: 970075 - Last Review: May 26, 2009 - Revision: 1.0 FIX: A Message Disposition Notification (MDN) is not received when the compression feature is enabled for the AS2 adapter in Microsoft BizTalk Server
On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
In this scenario, a Message Disposition Notification (MDN) is sent from you to your trade partner. However, your trade partner does not receive the MDN. Instead, the trade partner receives an error message that resembles the following: Description: MIC not
verified # MIC values not verified: <MIC
Value> Note The MDN is an acknowledgement message that is sent in response to an AS2 message. If the compression feature is enabled, the AS2 transmission cannot complete until the MDN is received and is verified. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Message Integrity Check
(MIC) values are calculated incorrectly when the compression feature is
enabled. Therefore, the MDN is rejected. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
