SYMPTOMS

The IMAP4 service crashes on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Then, you receive the following error message:

System.ObjectDisposedException in mailboxsession.get_timezone.


When this problem occurs, the following error is logged in Event Viewer:

Event Source: MSExchange Common
Event Category: General
Event ID: 4999
Description:
Watson report about to be sent to dw20.exe for process id: <ID>, with parameters: E12, c-RTL-AMD64, <version number>, M.E.Imap4, M.E.D.Storage, M.E.D.S.MailboxSession.get_TimeZone, System.ObjectDisposedException, 98d1, <version number>. ErrorReportingEnabled: True

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a code defect.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the following update:
971534 Description of Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
