Article ID: 970420 - View products that this article applies to.
This article discusses a test update of Microsoft Windows 7.0 Release Candidate (RC). The update will not fix any technical issue. It is for testing only.
Note This update lets us test and verify our ability to deliver and manage the updating of Windows 7 RC.
Windows 7 RC users will be notified that new updates are available on May 12, 2009, from Windows Update. Even if the user has Windows Update configured for automatic updates, these test updates will not be installed automatically. Users will have to manually install the test updates through Windows Update. These updates do not deliver new features or hotfixes. These updates replace only those system files that have the same version numbers as the system files that are contained in the update.
