SYMPTOMS

When you reopen or save a Microsoft SQL Server database project in Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 Database Edition GDR, the project model detects changes in the deserialization process. This occurs even if you made no changes to the database project. Additionally, you receive the following messages in the Output window:
Deserializing the project state for project ‘<Project_name>.dbproj'...
Detecting file changes for project ‘<Project_name>.dbproj'...
During deserialization of project ‘<Project_name>.dbproj’ a change was detected in one or more files. These files will be reprocessed.
Deserialization has been completed for project ‘<Project_name>.dbproj'.
Additionally, if the project is large, it takes a long time to complete the deserialization process.
