SYMPTOMS

You have a database that contains an unknown or an invalid syntax. When you deploy a database project to the database in Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 Database Edition GDR, the deployment seems successful. However, the generated deployment script is empty and the database is not updated.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the parser adds an error to the target database model which is created to represent the target database.

RESOLUTION
