SYMPTOMS

You try to use the VSDBCMD.exe utility to import a database schema into a .dbschema file. After you locate the directory where the supporting files exist, you type a command that resembles the following at a Command Prompt window:
vsdbcmd.exe /a:import /cs:"connection string" /dsp:SQL /model: "file_name.dbschema"
When you do this, a NullReferenceException exception occurs and you receive the following error message:

An unhandled exception occurred: Object reference not set to the instance of an object.
