SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database that includes several stored procedures.
  • You click Schema Compare in the Data menu in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 IDE.
  • You set the database as the source schema and a complex database project as the target schema.
  • After the schema compare operation is completed, in the designer window, you right-click on the Stored Procedures item, and then you select Skip All.
  • Then, you click the Write Updates button.
In this scenario, the parameter types in some stored procedures are commented out. This may also cause the Visual Studio IDE to crash.
