SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • A task sequence is created in a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) system.
  • In one task of this task sequence, multiple programs are scheduled to be installed.
  • The If an application fails, continue installing other applications in the list option is checked.
  • The package of one program is removed from a distribution point (DP).
In this scenario, all subsequent programs are not executed. The expected behavior is that all subsequent programs in this task are executed even if the one program cannot be executed

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an issue in the Task Sequencing environment.
