In Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint, the Realtime scan job may time out multiple times and then crash.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install Forefront Security for SharePoint Service with Pack 3 (SP3). The recovery logic for the Realtime scan job is improved in Service Pack 3.
