SYMPTOMS

You cannot use the BTHHID_IOCTL_HIDDisconnect Bluetooth input/output control to disconnect a Human Interface Device (HID) device from a Windows CE 5.0-based device successfully.

CAUSE

This problem occurs for both of the following reasons:
  • The HID profile sends a duplicate virtual cable unplug message on the control channel.
  • The HID profile starts an L2CAP disconnection for the control and interrupt channels instead of waiting to disconnect from the HID device for those channels.
