On This PageSYMPTOMSA Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2-based device runs an image that includes the Windows Network Projector catalog item. When the Pictor service is updated several times, the memory usage increases. A handle leak is detected when you use the Application Verifier tool. The Pictor service is updated in some cases. For example, you enter a projector name in the splash screen after you start the device. After you press Accept, the splash screen returns to the startup window. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the old thread handle is not closed when the Pictor service is updated. RESOLUTIONSoftware update informationA supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 6.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (May 2009). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type.
