SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • In the Configuration Manager console, you expand the Computer Management\Collections item.
  • You click a collection on the left side panel. Therefore, the items that are under this collection are displayed on the right side panel.
  • You enter text in the Look for: box, and then you repeatedly click the Find Now button.

Note You do not click Clear in this process.

In this scenario, the Configuration Manager console crashes.

Note If you use Task Manager or performance monitor to monitor the corresponding MMC.exe process when you repeatedly click the Find Now button, you see that the thread count value keeps increasing.
