FIX: The Data Profiling task shows "is_nullable" in the Control Flow window after you configure the Data Profiling task for a data source that uses the Turkish_CI_AS or Turkish_CS_AS collation in SQL Server 2008 Integration Services

In Microsoft SQL Server 2008, you create an Integration Services package in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS). You add a Data Profiling task for a data source that is configured to use the Turkish_CI_AS collation or the Turkish_CS_AS collation. After you configure the Data Profiling task, the tooltip of the Data Profiling task shows "is_nullable" in the Control Flow window. Additionally, an "X" icon appears on the Data Profiling task. You also receive validation error messages.

This issue occurs because the Data Profiling task automatically changes letters in column names from uppercase to lowercase to query data. Therefore, the Data Profiling task changes "I" to "i." However, "i" is not the lowercase form of "I" in Turkish. Therefore, Data Profiling task cannot find the correct column if the column name contains an "i."

The fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 5.
